Odoo 19 Calendar week view synced with Google and Outlook calendars

We set up Outlook synchronisation for our sales team in Kuwait. Events sync both ways, but some meetings appear one hour off in Odoo, and a few staff in our Cairo office see different times for the same meeting.

Is this a synchronisation bug, or something we configured wrongly? We need a reliable calendar before we connect Appointments.

This is almost always a time zone setting issue rather than a sync bug. Odoo stores times in UTC and displays them using each user's time zone.

  • Open each user's preferences (My Preferences from the avatar menu) and set the correct Timezone, for example Asia/Kuwait or Africa/Cairo.
  • Check that the Outlook account and the computer or phone use the same time zone as the Odoo user.
  • Ask users to refresh their browser after changing the time zone, as the browser time zone is also used for display.
  • If some events were created while settings were wrong, edit them once in either calendar so the corrected time syncs.
  • Review the Microsoft integration in Settings to confirm the synchronisation is active for each affected user.

Once the time zones are consistent, events will show the same moment for everyone, with the local time adjusted for Kuwait and Cairo users.
