Access in Odoo is controlled by user groups for each app, record rules for which records a user can see, and company access in multi-company setups.
Access rights
- Give each user the lowest access level that lets them do their job.
- Use record rules for restrictions such as sales people seeing only their own customers.
- Review administrators regularly and remove access for users who leave.
- Enable two-factor authentication for users with sensitive rights.
Backups
On Odoo Online and Odoo.sh, backups are managed by the platform, and you can download copies. On-premise, schedule automatic database and file-store backups, keep copies off site and test a restore regularly, because a backup that has never been restored is not proven.
