Our staff check in on biometric devices. Can those records go into Odoo Attendances automatically?

Yes, but through an integration rather than a standard Odoo feature. Odoo Attendances works out of the box with kiosk mode, badges and the mobile app; biometric devices need a connector.

Common options

  • A connector module that reads logs from the device over the network and creates attendance records in Odoo.
  • Exporting logs from the device software and importing them on a schedule.
  • An integration platform such as n8n that collects device logs and pushes them through the Odoo API.

Map each device user ID to the Odoo employee, define how to handle missing check-outs, and test with one branch before rolling out.
