Odoo 20 was launched on 24 September 2026 at Odoo Experience in Brussels. It builds on the AI foundation of Odoo 19 and adds deep changes to manufacturing, inventory and the technical framework.
What is new in Odoo 20
- AI agents that create and update records, including from uploaded PDF files, and run inside automated and scheduled actions.
- MCP (Model Context Protocol) to connect your database to external AI tools while keeping user access rights.
- Manufacturing: weekly order Kanban, Gantt for work orders, continuous production and provisional versus actual order costs.
- Inventory and sales: suggested min/max on reordering rules, stock as of a past date, landed costs per product and editable line margins.
What to check before upgrading
Odoo 20 changes access rules, chatter tracking and the chart of accounts structure, and replaces the icon library. Custom modules must be reviewed and tested on a copy of your database first. AI features consume IAP credits. If Odoo 19 runs well for you, plan the upgrade calmly with a full test cycle.
